Zele Racing moves from Renault to Porsche

Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Monza 2015 The Austrian racing team has quit the Renault Sport Trophy and will instead team up with Lechner Racing Middle East for 2016

Season preparations are in full gear at Zele Racing as the Austrian outfit wants to gain more GT experience. In the future, the team will cooperate with racing legend Walter Lechner senior.

“The past Renault Sport Trophy season was valuable and enjoyable for us. Thus, we want to continue racing in the GT class, but we will swap to Porsche cars,” team boss Michael Zele said.

In winter, Zele and Lechner sr. agreed on working together in the 24h Series and the GT Open. “We have been friends for a very long time and share greatest respect for each other. We put our heads together and worked out a partnership, we are both looking forward to.”
