But our expectations were deflated by a bad qualifying, which spoiled all our chances of being closer to the top\u201d, team boss Michael Zele said.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">In Sunday\u2019s Elite sprint race, both drivers, Ghirelli and Bas Schothorst, struggled with very poor traction in heavy rain and could not battle for the podium.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Colombian rookie Andr\u00e9s M\u00e9ndez showed off with P7 in the Prestige Sprint race. \u201cA good result for him. He managed to keep his car on the track in tricky conditions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Teammate Philippe Bourgois was less fortunate and spun off the track in the closing laps of the race.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\u201cOur display in the rain was not what we had expected, but that\u2019s racing.
