\"pizza\"<\/a>The Brazilian loses P1 in the final corners at the Hungaroring<\/i><\/p>\n

Antonio Pizzonia dominated the qualifying as well as most of the opening race at the Hungaroring in rainy conditions Saturday. However, a few corners from the chequered flag, the \u201cJungle Boy\u201d skittered off the track presenting the certain win to rival Facu Regalia.<\/p>\n

\u201cI still cannot believe it. I have not made such a mistake since I was 15. Basically, I was convinced Facu cannot get past me, so I reduced the pace not to slide off in the finals seconds. But obviously I was too relaxed\u201d Pizzonia described the moment, when he lost the race.<\/p>\n

Zele\u2019s Luis Sa Silva had a rollercoaster ride in the wet conditions and finished on P6. \u201cAt the start of the race, I was a little insecure on the brakes. When I had just found my rhythm, I caught aquaplaning and my car spun off. Fortunately, I could continue the race, so P6 is come sort of consolation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The team\u2019s third driver, rooke Andres Mendez, is \u201cstill learning. I am adjusting to the car and the track, so the rain did not help.\u201d Finishing eighth today, the Colombian youngster will start from pole into Sunday\u2019s race.<\/p>\n

Following the hectic season opener, team boss Michael Zele was quite exhausted: \u201cIt was a very difficult race under difficult conditions. There was basically no grip on the track. We should of course have won the race, but mistakes happen. It should be dry tomorrow, so we believe, we can attack even more so.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
