While Friday\u2019s free practice sessions took place at very warm spring temperatures, a massive thunderstorm with heavy rain hampered the qualifying sessions later in the day.<\/p>\n

Polesetter Markus Pommer and Tamas Pal Kiss had timed their first runs perfectly and just crossed the finish line before the track became impossible to race on. After a half-hour break the rain had stopped, but lap times did not improve anymore.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was very tricky out there today, but I just managed to do one good lap in the wet. Starting from the front row tomorrow is perfect\u201d, Kiss said.<\/p>\n

Team mate Kuroda narrowly missed out on the second qualifying segment and will start from P12 into Saturday\u2019s race.<\/p>\n
