REVIEW 2019 Racing Season

A new challenge was playing the major role during the 2019 season. Following the retirement of Karthikeyan from singleseaters at the end of 2018 Zele-Racing was called up by Japanese/German Superformula RedBull Junior Team B-Max with Motopark to join the engineering group. With rookie drivers Lucas Auer (AUT) and Harrison Newey (GB) there was lots of work ahead for the new team.

Zele-Racing was responsible for data and performance engineering on Neweys car.

The team efforts resulted in a podium finish for each driver at Sugo (Auer) and Okayama (Newey).

In addition to the Superformula Program, which resulted in staying over 100 days of the year in Japan, we also continued our cooperation with Chinese Audi GT3 Team Absolute Racing and Thai Team B-Quik. With races in China, Malaysia and Thailand this added to the packed 2019 race calendar.

Highlight of the 2019 season was the overall victory of AM pairing Henk Kiks/Daniel Bilski on the bumpy streets of Bangsaen – the Thai Monte Carlo. The classic event not only draws the odd monkey mob but also thousands of spectators. A must-see event on the beach just about an hour south of Bangkok.
