Zele Racing’s youngsters Richard Gonda (#9) and Cameron Twynham (#8) impressed on day one of the official AutoGP 2014 tests in Jerez.

The Austrian outfit has invited F3 European Open Cup Series standings leader Richard Gonda and runner-up Cameron Twynham to this week’s AutoGP test sessions at the Circuito de Jerez in Southern Spain and both rookies showed great talent in their outings.

At the end of the opening day, Slovak Gonda was fourth-fastest, only outpaced by three AutoGP regulars. Teammate Twynham also quickly found a rhythm and ranked 7th in the overall standings. “It was a good first day. Both youngsters proved that they can adapt to the task in no time and we did some nice laps”, team boss Michael Zele was content.
